Overview

Cables & Wires

Garg Electricals is known across Udham Singh Nagar as a cable stockist first. We hold a deep inventory of LT power, HT, control, instrumentation and building wire from Havells, Polycab, KEI and RR Kabel, so plants in SIDCUL Pantnagar, Sitarganj and Kashipur can source most sizes from Rudrapur rather than waiting on dispatch from the manufacturer’s depot.

Our LT power cable range covers 1.1 kV copper and aluminium conductors with PVC (IS 1554 Part 1) or XLPE (IS 7098 Part 1) insulation, in armoured and unarmoured construction from 1 to 4 cores. For substations and transformer connections we supply HT XLPE cables from 3.3 kV up to 33 kV (IS 7098 Part 2), together with matching termination and jointing kits from our cable accessories range.

For automation and process plants we stock multicore control cables and shielded instrumentation cables. For building and maintenance work we stock flexible cables and FR / FRLS house wires, plus aerial bunched cables for overhead distribution, solar DC cables for rooftop and ground-mount PV plants, and welding cables.

Selecting a cable is a balance of load current, installation method, route length and short-circuit level. Share your load list or single-line diagram and our team will help you shortlist sizes and conductor options before you place an order. You can also use our indicative cable size reference as a starting point.

Range

What we supply

  • LT power cables

1.1 kV copper and aluminium cables with PVC or XLPE insulation, armoured and unarmoured, 1 to 4 core, for feeders and distribution.

  • HT cables

XLPE insulated cables from 3.3 kV to 33 kV, single and three core, armoured, for substation and transformer connections.

  • Control & instrumentation cables

Multicore copper control cables and shielded pair / triad instrumentation cables for PLC, DCS and field signals.

  • Flexible cables & house wires

Multi-strand copper flexibles and FR / FRLS / HFFR building wires from 0.5 to 6 sq mm and above.

  • Aerial bunched cables

XLPE insulated aluminium ABC with messenger for overhead LT distribution and street lighting.

  • Solar DC cables

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do you supply cut lengths or only full drums?

We supply both. Most LT power and control cable sizes can be cut to the length you need; HT cables and large sizes are usually supplied in drum lengths. Share your length schedule and we will confirm what can be cut from stock.

Should I choose copper or aluminium cable?

Copper carries roughly 1.3 times the current of the same aluminium size and is preferred for smaller sizes, motor feeders and vibration-prone runs. Aluminium is lighter and more economical for large feeders and long distribution runs. Our team can compare both options for your load and route length.

What is the difference between PVC and XLPE insulated cables?

XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) runs at a higher continuous conductor temperature (90 °C against 70 °C for PVC), so it carries more current for the same size and has better short-circuit withstand. PVC cables remain a cost-effective choice for many LT applications.

Why are cable prices not listed on the website?

Cable prices move with copper and aluminium metal rates, sometimes weekly. Send us your BOQ and we will quote current rates, including GST, by phone, WhatsApp or email.

Do your cables come with test certificates?

Cables are supplied with the manufacturer's invoice-backed warranty, and routine test certificates can be arranged from the brand for project supplies on request.
